Moor Pool Heritage Festival

About this event

Come and experience the wonderful community spirit and Arts and Crafts splendour of Moor Pool Estate at our annual Heritage Festival which delivers a village fete vibe and is an opportunity to discover more about Moor Pool’s history and activities.

The Moor Pool Heritage Festival is a well-established event, now in its 15th year and is part of the nationwide Heritage Open Days and Birmingham Heritage Week. The theme for Heritage Open Days this year is ‘Routes, Networks and Connections’, exploring paths and routes to Moor Pool and there should be lots for the everyone to explore and fun for all the family!

We have a packed programme highlighting the range of exciting activities that regularly take place around the Estate. Regular clubs will be open on the day, and visitors will have the chance to try their hand at the activities including tennis, bowls and snooker and find out more about our clubs. Enjoy home-made cakes and home grown produce, and learn more about the wide range of events which take place at Moor Pool throughout the year including taster sessions and demos from Line Dancing, Mezzo Dance, Bilinguasing, Mini Athletics, and One Day Theatre amongst many others, as well as creative Lego in the Main Hall.

There will be fun for all the family! Craft, seed bomb making, clay modelling, mud kitchen and face-painting at the Carless Eco Centre, and themed trails across the Estate and Nettlefold Garden.

There will be a heritage tour starting at 2pm which you can sign up for on the day at Moor Pool Hall.
