The Apple tree is a member of the Rosaceae family. It is a deciduous tree meaning it loses its leaves seasonally. It reaches an average height of 16 feet (5 meters). Standard apple trees can reach a height of 25-35 feet (7,5 – 10 m) or even more.
FACT – There are more than 7,500 different types of apples grown on apple trees throughout the world.
Apple trees take 4-5 years to produce their first fruit. A standard size apple tree starts bearing fruit 8-10 years after it is planted. A dwarf tree starts bearing fruit in 3-5 years.
