Located at the heart of the historic Moor Pool garden suburb, Moor Pool Hall is a Grade II listed building, built in the Arts & Crafts style, and retains many of its historic features.
It has a number of rooms available to hire out perfect for any occasion, from regular dance classes to private parties or any other event flexible to your requirements!
The Hall is at the heart of the community and built to provide residents with leisure facilities for people to gather, encouraging a sense of community and healthy living which was at the heart of Nettlefold’s vision.
Building of the Moor Pool Estate was begun in 1907 and the Moor Pool Hall itself was completed in 1910. Initially a community institute was run from two of the early houses in Moor Pool Avenue which were temporarily linked together.
Community facilities were an important element in the design of the Estate and as well as the institute the Moor Pool tennis courts and adjacent bowling green were built. When the Hall was built at the Circle at the heart of the Estate it was alongside the Estate Office with reading room and library, snooker club above and nearby the community shops.
We ask all our Hirers to respect the Hall and the fact it is a listed building in a conservation area. We want all our Hirers to have a great time and come back to us again and again. The Moor Pool Hall has a lot of character and has been serving the local community and the people of Harborne for over 100 years. We are located at the heart of the community and the activities run at the Hall have to take into account the concerns of residents living close by.
